Registration FAQ



All in-person registration categories, except Accompanying Persons, include the following:

  • Access to all medical and multidisciplinary sessions
  • Access to professional development sessions
  • Entrance to the exhibition area
  • Entrance to the poster area
  • Electronic access to final program, book of abstracts, the State of the art book, new WFH publications, and the WFH Visual State of the art Synopsis
  • Congress delegate bag that includes all relevant conference materials
  • Daily coffee breaks
  • Daily lunch
  • Access to the Opening Ceremony on Sunday, May 8, 2022
  • Access to the Farewell Dinner on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 (except for HCPs and industry delegates)
  • Certificate of attendance (by request)
  • CME credits (if applicable)
  • Access to all recorded webcasting sessions

All virtual registration categories include the following:

  • 24h access to online platform
  • Access to live broadcast of select sessions
  • On-demand content for 60 days
  • Access to virtual poster area
  • Electronic access to final program, book of abstracts, the State of the art book, new WFH publications, and the WFH State of the art Synopsis
  • Virtual tour of Montréal
  • Certificate of attendance (by request)
  • CME credits (if applicable)

The Accompanying Person’s registration fee is available only to partners or family members of a paid attendee registered to attend Congress. Only one accompanying person is allowed per registered attendee. It includes:

  • Access to the Opening Ceremony on Sunday, Sunday, May 8, 2022
  • Accompanying person’s tour including lunch

Please note that Accompanying Persons’ registration does not allow access to any of the sessions or to the exhibition hall.

If you are a citizen of a country with a low-income, lower-middle income or upper-middle income economy (as defined by the World Bank), you may be eligible for a special Passport to the World discount. Conditions apply. See the list of eligible countries here. This discount cannot be combined with any other discount and must be applied at the time of registration. The discount cannot be applied retroactively to an existing registration. Please contact [email protected] for more details. The discount does not apply to accompanying persons.

It is recommended that participants obtain adequate cover for travel, health and accident insurance before they leave their countries. The WFH cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to private property belonging to the participants and accompanying persons or for personal injury.

Registrations are non-transferable. No name or registration category changes are permitted. If you wish to change the name on a registration, you will need to cancel your registration and process a new one with the updated name.

Any cancellation of registration must be sent in writing to [email protected] and will be subject to the following conditions:

  • Until Friday, April 8, 2022, a refund equivalent to 75% of the paid registration fee will be granted
  • After Friday, April 8, 2022, no refunds will be granted
  • Requests for refunds with regards to incorrect registration payments or incorrect category selection will not be considered
  • Non-attendance will be considered to be a cancellation on the day of the event and will incur a 100% cancellation fee
  • Virtual only: Substitution of registrants will be permitted at the discretion of the WFH, upon written request on or before April 8, 2022. Only substitutions with business colleagues or coworkers will be considered. In addition, the new (substitute) registrant must pay the full registration fee in effect at the time of substitution. After April 8, 2022, no substitutions will be allowed, and any substitution requests received after that date will be treated as full cancellations of the original registration, with no refund issued.

Refunds, if applicable, will be issued no later than one month after the Congress.

Companies and organizations intending to register a group of 15 people may follow a special group registration procedure. Please contact [email protected] for the group registration template or register your group directly via our online registration system.

This category applies to any person currently involved full-time in a training program for medical education or other disciplines or in a PhD program. A copy of a student ID, valid at the time of the Congress, will be required, or you can provide an official document signed by the department head of your university. Please submit your proof to the WFH 2022 World Congress Secretariat by email to [email protected]. An original ID must be shown on site.

Note that attendees from low-income countries may be eligible for a special Passport to the World fee if they register before February 7, 2022. Conditions apply. Letters will only be issued to attendees who have paid for their registration in full. Please be advised that five (5) business days are required to process visa invitation letters. Once your registration is complete, the instructions on how to receive the invitation letter can be found in your confirmation email. You can register online by clicking here.

Please be sure to verify your visa requirements with your travel agent or contact your local embassy for more information. Please note the WFH is not responsible for securing or applying for your visa for travel to Canada and/or any points of transit that may require a visa.
